I feel like I hit a huge wall this week. I tried playing along with the Clean and Simple Challenge on Splitcoast. I made one card, and really didn't like it all. I made some revisions, but still I'm not really crazy about it. I was going to post it anyway, but the longer I look at it, the less I like it. So instead I will share my latest little "tucked away" boxes with you.
I was meeting some friends for lunch today, and decided to make them brownies. Well, something happened, and the brownies tasted awful. I don't know what went wrong! I had no chocolate left to give, so instead they got salt water taffy. Definitely not what I had planned, but better than giving them empty boxes ;) I was going to wrap them with pretty ribbon, too. But something about a ribbon wrapped taffy box seemed strange. So I just left the ribbon off.

Oh Rebecca, I know how you feel! I hate it when nothing turns out right. Your boxes are really nice and I'm sure your friends love them. My mojo is sluggish these days.
sounds like a long day...LOL these boxes are really cute, even if there is no chocolate in them...
Oh my - the card didn't work, the brownies tasted awful and no ribbon on the boxes! Well, the boxes look fantastic and I for one would like the box more than the candy in it - ha. You've got patterned paper on here.....so I can ponder what and how I'm going to make this badboy work...you're gonna make me do it, I can feel it. These are super cute!
I like these boxes and can envision sending lots of cookies and bread loaves out in these! Super cute!
Sweet boxes! Too bad about the brownies..but I think they will like the taffy!
Love the boxes...they're just too cute! I'm having a lack of mojo right now so haven't done anything but hopefully will soon.
I love these boxes - and I am sure your friends will too! Thanks for the inspiration!
Such a bummer when a day goes like that! But I love these boxes too. And I bet the recipients were pleased (though slightly less than if brownies were inside--just kidding).
I'm sure they were thrilled to receive these beautiful boxes! What a thoughtful gift : )
Very nice!!
Goodness, sounds like you are being extra hard on yourself this week with your projects and baking. I think the boxes are terrific and would be with our without ribbon. I never thought enough about desserts to consider if they were deserved ribbons/bows or plain packaging. I'm sure your CAS cards were just fine too, but I know what you mean. I have many cards that I made and finished but didn't post on my blog because they didn't seem worthy.
