Child of God

Today, I'm sharing a card that I did make while I was in my non-creative funk over the last little while. I am pretty happy with how this turned out, but it look me all day to make. Literally all day. I started in the morning and wasn't done until 5:45 when we were taking dinner to a lady from church who just had a baby, and I needed this card done by then. When I worked on this one little card for almost 8 hours, I just decided my creativity was on vacation and I'd have to wait for it to come back.

I loved when this set was released from Papertrey Ink. I waited forever to get it, but I'm so glad I finally did. It's so wonderful. I really wanted to use some soft colors on this, and I'm happy with the overall look. I decided I need to get more saddle-stitch ribbon; I love how it holds it shape for bows!

Well, I'm off for now. I have to finish my game of Phase 10 with my son, so I can make him take a nap!

Okay - so for your 'non-creative funk' you made a great card - even if it did take all day to make! I am going to have to try this ribbon if it hold shape so well!

When I saw your card I was immediately drawn to your pastel stripes along the bottom. It reminds me of the cover of "The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. Love it!

2 days, 2 cards - woo-hoo! This card is adorable. 8 hours - whaaa?? I hope you told them that - LOL Took you longer to make this card than it did for this woman to go through labor probably - ha!! I love your bow...I use a lot of the saddle stitch and the classic grosgrain because they hold their shape the bestest ;)

I totally agree!!! PTI Saddle Stitch ribbon is THE BEST! I need to get it in every color :) This is absolutely adorable, Rebecca! I know the feeling when a card takes forever to come together. I've had those days recently, and think I'm going to go on hiatus for a couple of days :)

Eight hours! Ok, I've worked for a long time on some simple cards myself but I don't think I've ever spent that long on something - especially when I'm not "feeling it". But, this did turn out cute. I like the different colored stripes on the bottom and your simple layout. Your bow is fabulous.
