The Cold

Well, it seems like everyone I've been around has had a cold. And I've dodged it pretty well...until New Year's Eve. It caught up with me; now I can't breathe, can't talk, and can't get enough Puffs Plus! The worst part is that my cousin was going to come and scrapbook with me last night, and I just knew she wouldn't want to come since I had a cold. But, when I talked to her to tell her what was going on, she sounded as horrible as I did. We figured since we both had colds, we might as well still scrapbook and be miserable together! We had a lot of fun, and before she left I wanted to make her a card. She was wearing a gorgeous teal shirt, which made me want to use some teal paper. I added the rose red because we tease each other back and forth about the color pink. I love it, and she does not!

Cuttlebug Challenge

I found a fun new blog that is all about challenges using the cuttlebug. My husband bought me my cuttlebug for Mother's Day and I love having it! It is such a fun tool to use. When I found this new blog, I knew I would want to play along as often as I can. I've got lots of recipe swaps to catch up on, but took the time this morning to complete my first cuttlebug challenge. The challenge was to use ink on the cuttlebug folder. I think this is a fun technique. It can add so much to the overall look of your card. For this card I used my snowflake embossing folder. The ink is from Colorbox and the color is Merlot. The large snowflake stamp is from Stampin' Up Nature's Secret. And the word joy is from Stampin' Up Small Script.
If you want to go and check on the challenge yourself, you can find the blog here: http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/
