I have Kraft!
Dawn McVey, one of the wonderful designers for Papertrey Ink, has been issuing color challenges on her blog. When I went to the color challenge yesterday, I thougt, I must be doing something right. One of the colors was Kraft. I have seen some great cards made with Kraft, and finally decided I should try it, knowing I could at least use it for those hard-to-make guy cards. Well, it's funny because I've made 2 cards with it now, and neither one is guy-like at all (I have a great sympathy card I'll show you tomorrow). Then came the stumbling block. One of the colors was also red. I like red, I just don't have it stocked in stamping/scrapbooking supplies. No cardstock, no ribbon, no ink, no eyelets, nothing. So I went to my old paper scraps pile. I finally found a piece of red that was a shade that I decided was do-able. I have to say, that I would never have put these colors together all at once like this on my own. But I am quite pleased with the results. To see all of the other cards made with this combo, follow this link.

it turned out awesome.
love how you used the button.
the ribbon looks gorgeous!!
Love your fun button and the great ribbon accent. You rocked Dawn's color combo!
It's a good life!
Terri E.
You did a great job with the color combo. How funny that you have no red at all. That is one of my go-to colors. I'm glad you finally got on the kraft bandwagon too. I bet you will find yourself using it a lot. You should check out Ann's blog (www.creativeantics.blogspot.com). She makes a lot of CAS cards and mixes kraft with some colors I would never think to use it with.
This turned out beautifully! I love the wheelbarrow. Great work.
This is beautiful! Love the way you combined her colors.
Beautiful card..like the button wheel!
who does not love kraft!! LOL it's a great card, i'm ready to fill my wheelbarrow with lots of flowers!!
This is really pretty Rebecca. Love it!
I love this image and the button you used for the wheel
This came out fabulous! I really like what you did with the color combo. I've written the combo down to try to give it a go myself. The stamp image is so pretty and I like how you used the button.
What a perfect card and wow oh wow the colors are just totally perfect together and wow do they ever really pop!!!!
This is great--love the glitter glue accents! I never would put these colors together either. I am in shock that you are just getting kraft. Isn't it THE BEST! If you have SUs kraft, the heavier weight makes it ideal for 3-d items as well. I really like it with SU cameo coral for spring/summer. And stamping white on it (like smowflakes) is cool too. Oh--and I love how you used the button for the wheel.
Your card sentiment says it all...this card is wonderful! It's so gorgeous and creative...such a wonderful interpretation of the challenge!
So cute! Love it!
