"She started it."

I love color challenges. I think that they are challenging because I often want to add an extra in, or leave a little something out. I missed out on seeing the latest Raspberry Suite Color Challenge posted, but I saw on Miss Annie B's blog the card she made for it. Her card just said to me: "Hey, it's a challenge and they are asking you to use Kraft. Play along with us." Here are the colors to use:

I used an old Fall-to Layout from the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog. And I got to use my circle nesties. Michelle mentioned she doesn't see me using my nesties very much {which is true}, so I put them to good use for this card.
I've decided the thing about distressing that doesn't always work for me. Sometimes it seems like a good idea, so I distress some edges. But then, they don't really look distressed. They just look to me like I have shredded edges on my cardstock, and need a new trimmer. But I do love using the Text Style set for making a background that kind of looks old and weathered.

Stamps: PTI Background Basics: Text Style, Fall Elegance
Ink: PTI Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise
CS: PTI Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream
Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, Scallop Circle Nestabilities, American Crafts Ribbon, Ribbon Tags Trio

This card is beautiful! I love the way you did your background - I agree that Text Style makes for a great faded bg! Thanks for sharing :)

Yes, text style really does look wonderful on backgrounds. I love your card (great layout!) and sympathize totally with your struggles with distressing.

Ohhh I like this a lot! And I love that little taggie - - think I've seen that before. I started this challenge...cut the cardstock...and that's as far as I got - ha! These are fun challenges - - glad you're playing along...oh, and I know what you mean about distressing!

Oh gosh, you crack me up! Using Kraft is such a hardship isn't it?
This is the most awesome take on this color challenge! You really kicked some bootie with this card and I wish I'd thought of this layout!

You are certainly becoming the "queen of kraft". This is lovely with the leaves in the circle and the script background. How funny that you mentioned you hardly use your nesties. Thinking back on it that is true. In fact I didn't even realized you owned any nesties until now :-) I agree with you about the distressing. It's one of the reasons I don't try it anymore. I either go too far with it or not far enough. Either way my project looks like I did a bad cutting job.
