Cards For Heroes Blog Hop!

This is my first time to participate in a blog hop, and I am SO excited! The first time I ever heard about Cards for Heroes was right before Christmas. My friend Susan was getting extra Christmas cards ready to send in, and I read some about it, thought it was a great idea, but didn't really follow through. Then a few months ago, she was getting more cards ready, and I decided it was time for me to make some cards to send in! I've been building my stash up, and everytime I get ready to send it, I think, "Just a few more." After finishing this card, I decided I need to send my cards in, so the people that I want to benefit from this will be able to. I am proud to be an American, and feel a debt of gratitude to all the military: past, present and future who protect our great country and help to make it as wonderful as it is. It is such a brave and noble calling that they have!

First off... OH MY GOSH! I can't believe that I'm the 96th person to comment on your card today. I have never had more than 25 comments on anything I have every posted.

This is a really terrific patriotic card. I like that you used interesting patterned paper and chose not to color the image.

I too make a lot of cards for charity (mostly the Lydia Project lately) and stash them until I get "enough" to send. I think, ok, when I get to 25. Then I end up having more than that so I think, ok 35, and so on. I think I have over 3 dozen cards for the Lydia project right now so they will go out the door very soon before I can't afford the postage to mail them!

Beautiful card, I love that image.

I can completely relate to you (and Susan's comment) about 'when I have some more.' I've got a pile I set out in March and have added to, just waiting for when I do a few more.

You've inspired me to pack them up and get to the post office already!
