Brownie Box

I made this mini pizza box and filled it with brownies to give to a neighbor for a thank you. When the recipient is a boy, it's always hard for me to make a card, since I tend to use a lot of floral stamps and the color pink. I figured most teenage boys like treats. So this mini pizza box is just as easy as a card for me, in a case like this. The first pizza boxes I made are posted here, along with the original tutorial I found that gives easy directions to make these fun little boxes. Thanks for everyone on well wishes to get over this stupid cold. I've still got it, but at least I quit coughing enough to sleep last night. So that means I'm improving, I think! And I'm hoping for a productive stamping week.

Heard it from a friend, who heard it from a friend

That is basically how I found this fun blog: Clearly Delightful. I'd been on someone's blog, and their link led me to a link, that led me to another, and finally to Clearly Delightful! Where I found her cool sketch. I needed a birthday card for a party my daughter's going to today, and thought this sketch would be fun to do for a little boy card. Then I was putting everything away, and I found some pretty patterned paper I've had for a while. And I wanted to use it for this sketch. So I made a second card. I love how many people out there share their talent, and list sketches, and give crafters like me an idea of something to try!

Happy Meal!

This is for a recipe swap on Split Coast Stampers. My friend is hostessing, and she wanted people's favorite meal, or the meal that makes them happy! I love chicken enchiladas, and they are one of my favorite dishes. When I was pregnant with our daughter, our oven decided not to work. So for a few months I wasn't able to make my favorite dish. When our daughter was finally born, my family was coming out to celebrate, and my husband bought a little roaster oven that I was finally able to cook chicken enchiladas in. The enchiladas had never tasted so good. When I signed up for this swap, I knew this would be the recipe I would submit. When I found this paper shopping one day, I loved the look of it. I loved the colors and the shimmery sparkle. I used the circle stamps from my Stampin' Up Riveting set, and clear embossed them to give them some sparkle like the paper.
