Rainy Day Friend

I used the sketch from Saturday's Sketches For You To Try. I loved the layout a lot, and thought it would be really fun to use my little girl from Paper Pretties. I think she is such a doll! I used all 5 of my copic markers for this one. I am enjoying using them and figure I have a lot to learn, but I'm going to practice with them, and have fun. And I'm not going to wait until I'm an expert to share what I make with them (since that day may never come). Her umbrella isn't anything special, but I do like how her dress turned out. Using the colorless blender, I tried to pull color off of her dress to look similar to the lighter colored dots on the background paper. And I'm pretty happy with how that turned out. If you've never looked at these Saturday sketches I'd go over there this week. She's having a contest with several ways to win! Follow the link above and you can get all of the details there.

Good job on using your Copics. I like the effect on the dress and the glittery "splash".
