Summer by the Sea...again

I had to do it! I used the same stamp for two posts in a row. At the Daily Dare, they list challenges for every day of the week from different blogs. I tend to lean towards participating in sketch challenges, and when I saw this challenge, I wanted to play along, and decided to use Summer by the Sea again.
Now, for my little copics story. One reason I liked stamping so much when I first started, was that it helped me feel creative and even a little artistic. I am not a person who can draw pictures, and that's always how I guess I've defined an artist: someone who can draw. Well, from stamping I feel like I get the same end result: a picture that I like to look at. I resisted buying copics because they are pretty pricey. But I needed a good skin color for some of my stamps. I still hadn't found a watercolor that worked for me. So I bought a few copics, including a skin color. I really like using them. I know a lot of people can get the same results, as far as blending and shading, from watercolors, gamsol techniques, etc. I just like the way that these feel on paper. They glide easily and with just one color you can keep layering and layering and get a darker color.
So the bottom line, I like the copics, and I'm glad I decided to try them!

Another pretty card using this image.

I'm glad you like your copics and are getting use out of them. I always fear buying something new just because everyone else loves it then end up not using it or just not "getting it". I wanted to love the copics when I took that class, but I didn't. At least not yet. Hopefully they will offer a better class and I can get a better feel for them.
