Onesies

I love all of the creative things that people share. Today on Susan's blog she posted cards that look like onesies. I had seen some of these in different online galleries. But I never took the time to read the details, I guess, and I always thought that the onesies were really big. Well, thanks to Susan, I actually paid attention, and they are a standard card size cut down to the onesies shape. Aha! That peaked my interest. Then I looked to see what the challenge of the day on Split Coast Stampers is. The challenge is to incorporate stars into whatever you make. Well, I thought that onesies would look really cute with some stars added. So I went back to Susans' blog, followed the link to the onesie tutorial she posted by Lauren Meader. I don't have a scallop circle punch but I figured I'd just wing it. Then my regular 1.5 inch circle punch BROKE. I was not a happy stamper. So I just traced around some tin cans and cut shapes out. These were so fun to make!

I think these turned out so cute. The eyelets at the bottom are a cute touch. I thought about adding those to mine but didn't want to bother with setting eyelets.

Too bad about your punch! But how creative of you to find an alternative and finish your project.

Love your onsies, I too thought they were a lot bigger than they actually are! Your sentiment and stars are perfect for a baby card.

Thanks for sharing.
